Starting therapy can feel like a daunting process. I offer a safe, empathetic, and non-judgemental space to help you feel at ease. The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of the work we do - building trust and a good rapport with each person I work with allows for collaborative and progressive work within the therapy space.
Each therapy session lasts 50 minutes (initial session is 90 minutes).
In our initial session we will explore your reasons for coming to therapy, discuss your goals, and gather some background information. I offer an initial session of 90 minutes to allow us plenty of time to run through all of this. This initial session also helps to inform us whether we are the right fit for each other, it is important that you find a therapist who you feel comfortable with. If you would rather have an initial session of 50 minutes this is also available.
If I feel I am unable to support you for any reason, I will endeavour to refer you on to a therapist who could be a more suitable fit. Please bear in mind that I may not always be able to offer a suitable recommendation.
WALK AND TALK THERAPY
Sometimes the thought of being sat across from a stranger can feel intimidating. Walk and talk can be a gentler introduction to therapy, with nature as our emotional container as we walk side-by-side.
Many of my clients enjoy being in the outdoors, seeing it as an excuse to get outside and have a break from the chores of everyday life.
I offer walk and talk sessions within a 15-mile radius of Halstead, Essex.
Please note, walk and talk therapy will only take place during daylight hours and will only be cancelled in extreme/dangerous weather conditions. More information on conditions of walk and talk will be provided before starting the first session

Also..The Nook (coming soon!) The Open Book Nook is under construction, and I hope to be able to offer this cosy inside space situated at the top of Halstead Highstreet later in 2025!
